InDesign CC (part 2)
OK, I have no idea how I missed this yesterday but there is a fairly obvious addition in InDesign CC that completely passed me by! The New Document dialogue panel now has a little Preview check box. You enable it and get to see a preview (obviously) of the new document you are creating before hitting OK. Simple but a great new feature!

InDesign CC
Well, even though I didn't finish my thoughts on all the new features that came with CS6, InDesign CC is now upon us and I have journeyed into the cloud. These are my initial reactions to all things CC after literally just installing it!

New Features in CS6:Align to Key Object
Like a phoenix my (somewhat) regular series arises from the blogger ashes. Although not here. Its over at the excellent InDesign Secrets. So go there and fill your brain with my Align to Key Object post, one of the tiniest and most awesome new features in CS6.

(Automatic) leading you astray
It’s been a long time—I have been quite busy! Things to do, kids to raise, games to play. I have also spent some time brushing up on a few areas of InDesign and passing my CS6 ACE recertification. First and foremost I highly recommend this book if you are interested in scripting. It is a brilliant introduction to Javascript within InDesign and will have you coding very useful things in no time at all. Secondly, the previous long form posts require a fair bit of work and commitment. I will try to keep them coming, just not quite so often. With that said, this did start off as a quick paragraph about Auto Leading…
